Judy Lee Beam Biggerstaff

Judy Lee Biggerstaff, age 77, of Marion, N.C. passed away July 28, 2021 peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side. A native of Avery County, Judy was born on January 19, 1944 to Lovie Flo McKinney.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-three years, Jimmy Biggerstaff; son, Tony Hughes; granddaughter, Kimberly Hughes; grandson, Joshua Walton and four brothers; Jay, Ricky, Kenny and Donald (Duck) Harwood.

Judy loved to travel and loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories is her mother, Lovie Flo McKinney; brother, Robert Harwood (Dorothy); sisters, Rhonda Harwood and Donna McKinney (Randy) all of Marion, N.C.; son Keith Hughes (Alisha) of Valdese, N.C.; two daughters, Dana Barrier (Randy) of Marion, N.C. and Misty Biggerstaff (Vicky) of Morganton, N.C. Also surviving Judy are numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

To honor Judy’s wishes a graveside service will be held by Pastor Greg Withrow on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations would gladly be accepted at CarePartners Hospice-McDowell, 575 Airport Road, Marion, N.C. 28752 in her memory.

A special thanks to our extended family and CarePartners Hospice-McDowell for loving and taking care of Judy. These included Rebecca, Kaitlyn, Kimberly, Diane and Samantha.
