Judith Diana Lewis

     Judith Diana Young Lewis, 82, of Marion, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at her residence.

     Judith was born in McDowell County, NC on January 5, 1942, to the late Octavius Daniel Young and Estella Randolph Young. She was married to her husband of forty-four years, Edward Eugene “Gene” Lewis. She was a member of New Horizon Fellowship Church and was an excellent cook. Judith was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and was a friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. 

     In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by four sisters, Pam Sisk, Joan Rhymer, Barbara Walker, and Carol McCurry.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Gene Lewis; a daughter, Kellie Vaden (Bruce); a son, Joseph Condrey; a step son, Eric Lewis; a step daughter, Susan Gibbs (Ronnie); a sister, Debbie Crawford; seven grandchildren, Jessica Condrey, Phoebe Condrey, Tyler Brinn, Kennedy Wilson, Easton White, Sawyer White, and Stephen Hollifield; and three step grandchildren, Nicholas Lewis, Tristan Lewis, and Cayden Lewis.

     A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Rev. Phil Murdock will officiate. Entombment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home. 

     Flowers are welcomed and appreciated, but those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. Jude’s Childrens Hospitals.
