Joyce Morgan

With deepest respect and admiration, we remember the life of Joyce Bailey Morgan, who passed away on June 19, 2026. Joyce was born in McDowell County. 

Joyce’s life was a testament to vitality and generosity. Known for her outgoing nature, she radiated warmth wherever she went and was cherished as a wonderful mother and a truly giving person. Her love for the outdoors and for basking in the sunshine reflected an energetic soul who found joy and purpose in both work and play. Those who knew her best recall not just her enthusiasm and industrious nature but also the boundless heart that guided her through life’s many chapters. She attended the Old Fort Wesleyan Church. 

Joyce’s greatest pride was undoubtedly her family. She is survived by her beloved children, Craig Davis (Donna) and Kristie Taylor. Her legacy extends to her dear granddaughter, Abbie Katlin Page (Christopher), and her grandson, Harrison Wesley Davis, as well as her treasured great granddaughter, Emmy Page, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her heart.

She will be deeply missed by her siblings: Earl Bailey, Joann Bailey, Zane Bailey, Barbara Loftis, and Ricky Bailey, who shared in the many memories and bonds of family through the years. Joyce now reunites in rest with her parents, Grady Bailey and Evelyn Massey Bailey; siblings, Troy Bailey, Irene Taylor and Ronnie Bailey. 

Family, friends, and all who knew Joyce are invited to gather in her memory at the Old Fort Wesleyan Church, 336 Catawba Ave, Old Fort, NC 28762. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM at the same location.

As we say goodbye, we hold close the legacy of kindness, energy, and unconditional love that Joyce leaves behind. Her light will continue to shine in the lives of all who had the privilege to know her.
