Joseph Walter Whitaker, 60, of Black Mountain, NC passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
Joseph was born in Buncombe County on October 10, 1962 to Mary Walker Hudgins and the late Joseph Thomas Whitaker.
He enjoyed the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and gathering Ginseng were some of the things he loved to do. Joseph was a very talented chainsaw artist and rock mason. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Mary Hudgins and her husband, Arnold Hudgins; a sister, Mary Whitaker Long; a brother, David Robinson (Jennifer), and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, no services are planned.
