Joseph James Taylor

     Joseph “Joe” James Taylor, 44, of Morganton, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at his residence.

     Joe was born in Owosso, Michigan on May 26, 1979, to Elbert David Taylor and Patricia Vavricka Taylor. Joe enjoyed music and working with his hands. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

     Joe was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elbert Boyd Taylor and Helen Taylor; and his maternal grandparents, Joseph Vavricka and Sarah Vavricka.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Patricia Taylor; his father, Elbert David Taylor; his step mother, Janet Taylor; a brother, Michael Taylor (Maggie); a step brother, Doug Cole (Mary); a nephew, Michael Seth Taylor (Grace); and three nieces, Jordan Galazka, Hailey Galazka, and Raven Cole.

      The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Beam Funeral Service.
