Joseph Alan Dutton

Joseph Alan Dutton, 71, of Morganton, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 5, 1952 to the late Frank James Dutton and Mary Ann Yendrich Dutton.

Mr. Dutton served in the United States Army and later in the United States Navy. He enjoyed talking and was known to have never met a stranger. Joe was a generous man with an exceptional sense of humor. He often shared jokes with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Dutton; stepson, Gregory Justice; four brothers, and two sisters.

He is survived by his son, Jeremy Dutton; two grandchildren, Chase Justice and Kassidy Justice; and three siblings, Mike Dutton, Butch Dutton, and Lydian Sweeney.

In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held.
