Jonathan James Stroud

Jonathan James Stroud, 37, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

He was born in Burke County to Scott Stroud and Karen Jean Curtis Stroud on August 24, 1985. Jonathan was known to have a heart of gold and was always helping those in his neighborhood. He was a great mechanic and could fix anything he set his mind to. He was a loving son, father and uncle and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Preceding Jonathan in death is his brother, Troy Scott Stroud who he missed and thought of daily, along with his paternal grandparents, John and Mildred Stroud and his maternal grandfather, James Thomas Curtis.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Scott and Karen Stroud; two children, Ali Grace Stroud and Kayden Troy Stroud; a special niece, Taylor Brianna Stroud and a special uncle, Coy Gene Wilson.

A memorial service will be held at Beam Funeral Service on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 at the funeral home.

The family request that memorials be made to Alexia Grace Stroud guardian fund at First Citizens Bank in Marion NC 28752.

The family would also like to say a special thank you to the many friends and neighbors who have called, brought food and offered a helping hand.
