Jonathan Jarred Bennick, 37, of Nebo, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 5, 2022. Jonathan was born in Buncombe County to Dianne Sisk Bennick and the late Leonard Bennick. After graduating from high school, Jonathan began working as a machinery operator for Bennick Grading and Excavation with a specialty in septic tank preparation. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He loved food of all kinds, especially Mexican. He attended New Manna Baptist Church and Shining Light Baptist Church and had recently rededicated his life to the Lord. Jonathan’s family has always described him as being kindhearted, funny, and having the ability to make people laugh.
In addition to his mother, Jonathan is survived by his sister, Missy Duckworth (Greg); brother, Todd Bennick (Carrie); daughter, Allie Bennick; son, Jayden Bennick, nephew, Daxton Bennick, and nieces, Kerigan Bennick, Anistyn Bennick, and Makayla Duckworth. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Beam’s Funeral Home. A funeral service to celebrate Jonathan’s life will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tony Shirley and Rev. Danny Castle officiating.
