Johnny Aaron Roper

Johnny Aaron Roper, 63, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, June 02, 2022.

He was born on November 29, 1958 to the late John Lee Roper and Jennie Arrowood Roper.

Johnny was a veteran of the United States Army. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle soul who touched many lives. It would be impossible to count the many friends Johnny made along his journey. Despite his personal struggles, the family knows he loved them all, especially his children, and that he was welcomed into Heaven by his parents.

He is also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Roper (Joyce); and a brother-in-law, Steve Stevens.

He is survived by four children, Kristen Ryan (Matthew), Jonathan Roper (Brandy), Rosalee Rhom-Roper, and Garthur Rhom-Roper; two grandchildren, Cameron Carter and Paxton Roper; nine siblings, Colen Roper (Diane), Wanda Plemmons (Van), Brenda Williams (Archie), Linda Stevens, Diane Moore (Richard), Penny Coward (Marty), Sabrina Styles (Johnny), Jerry Roper (Mary) of Middlesex, NC, and Kelly Roper (Paula); and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 05, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Jimmy Upton officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
