John Horace Jenkins, III

     John Horace Jenkins, III, 82, of Old Fort, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the Charles F. George VA Medical Center in Asheville.

     John was born in Elkton, MD, to the late Laura Arbour and John Horace Jenkins, II. He was married to his wife of 34 years, Kathy Marie Lytle Jenkins. John served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. During the 60’s and early 70’s, he was a member of the Ravens Motorcycle Club in Oakland, CA. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Jenkins; three step sons, Kevin Boyd, James Dietz, and Mark Davis; and a sister, Barbara Stobaugh.

     He is survived by his wife, Kathy Jenkins; two daughters, Mei-Mei Jameson (David) and Jackie Jenkins; a son, Tony Jenkins (Keliegh); two step sons, Eric Davis and John Pivonka (Wendy); a step sister, Joyce Moore; a step brother, Donald Goff; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandsons; and 1 great-great grandson on the way.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date.
