John Calloway

John H. Calloway, age 66, of Bryson City, North Carolina and formerly of Avery County went to be with the Lord January 23, 2017. He was a beloved brother, friend and truly a blessing to all that knew him.

John was preceded in death by his parents Elmore and Bertha Calloway. Surviving are four sisters; Alice Presnell with whom he resided, Rosalee Wilson, Ruby Jolley and Susie Calloway; two brothers, J.D. and Jack Calloway.

Funeral services for Mr. Calloway will be conducted Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. at Elk Mtn. Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
