Jimmie Dean Elmore, 86, of Nebo, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Charles George VA Medical Center.
He was born in Marion on June 25, 1938 to the late Willie Harold Elmore and Viola Elizabeth Lindsey Elmore. He was also preceded in death by one son, Scott Elmore.
Jim honorably served in the United States Air Force where he earned the rank of Airman First Class. He was a member of the Lost Dutchman’s Mining Association, and panning for gold brought him great joy in his free time. Jim was also a member of the Moose Lodge. He looked forward to his annual hunting trips that he began in 1979. Known as a very humble man, he will be remembered for the love he extended to his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather who will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Scotty Y. Elmore; son, Dean Elmore (Joan); step-daughter, Nikki McClellan (Randy); grandchildren, Holly Keith (William), Sydney O’Brien (Patrick), Scott Elmore, Christine Lindsay (Brandon), and Katie Baker; and his great-grandchildren, Harper Keith, Bridgett O’Brien, Madison Lindsay, Jada Lindsay, Emilee Lindsay, and Eliott Baker.
In accordance with Jim’s wishes, a private memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service.
