Jessie McCorkle

Jessie Burnett McCorkle, age 64, of Forest City, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Hospice House of Rutherford County. Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on May 20, 1951, she was the daughter of the late J.L. and Corrine Hood Burnett.

 
In addition to her parents, Jessie is preceded in death by her husband, William McCorkle; one sister, Martha Wainwright; and one brother, Terry Lee Burnett.

Left to cherish her memory; one son, Timothy Burke and his wife, Wendy of Chesnee, South Carolina; one daughter, Susan Burke McMurray of Forest City, North Carolina; two sisters, Mary Scruggs of Gaffney, South Carolina and Angela Burnett Spivey of Chesnee, South Carolina; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Cooley Springs Baptist Church in Chesnee, South Carolina with Pastor Buddy Robbins officiating.
