Jessica "Renee" McDaris

Jessica “Renee” McDaris, age 41, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away following a short battle with cancer at 9:06 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, May 16, 2021 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville, North Carolina.  Renee was a native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born on November 12, 1979, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Debra Huffman Wilson. 

Renee had a big heart for animals, especially dogs and horses, and had an interest in unicorns.  At times she would volunteer at Mercy Animal Rescue, and was employed as a shift leader with Taco Bell in Marion.  Although she had a love for animals, Renee loved her family most of all. 

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Adam McDaris; three children, Jamie Holland (Rebecca Manley), Beth Canipe and Randy Pyatte (Destiny Bracken); one sister; and her adoptive father and mother, Cal and Betty Fain. 

A private celebration of Renee’s life will be held at a later date.
