Jesse O. Ward

Jesse Otto Ward, age 70, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was born to the late Charles Devere and Mary Elizabeth Wilson Ward, on July 12, 1951.

He was known as a hardworking and generous man. He never met a stranger and was always there for anyone in need. Jesse was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and extended family very much. He enjoyed fishing and restoring old cars and trucks.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, of 42 years, Betty Bates Ward. His seven children, Hayden Ward (Kinsley), Noah Ward, Michael Carr ( Michelle), Jeff Ward, Evalee Ward, Destiny Ward, Tamara Rose (Nick) and Shane Franklin (Jennifer); three sisters, Ellen Presnell, Arlene Atwood and Thelma Ward; ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
