Jerry Jerome Barnes

Jerry Jerome Barnes, 67, of Marion, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Jerry was born in Buncombe County on June 09, 1958 to Herbert Samuel Barnes and Linnie Naomi Greenlee Barnes. He was a bridge builder for many years. In his spare time he loved to watch westerns.

Preceding Jerry in death including his parents is a brother, James Barnes.

He is survived by two sisters, Althea Whiteside and Linda Whiteside; a number of niece, nephews, cousins and friends. Jerry is also survived by his specials friends, Robin Browning, and Bruce and Doris Frisbee.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Mount Zion AME Church, 75 Zion Road, Marion, NC 28752.
