Jeffrey Allen Scott, 63, of Nebo and formerly of Burnsville, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026 at Mission Hospital McDowell.
He was born in Mitchell County on July 30, 1962 to the late Wade Howard Scott and Bernice Jewel Miller Scott.
Jeff, who was affectionately known as Bubba, retired from Glen Raven after over forty years of dedicated service. An avid outdoorsman, Jeff enjoyed time spent hunting deer and turkey. He was a competitive bow shooter, having competed in tournaments over the years. He liked to draw and created lots of special pieces that his family will forever cherish. Jeff was a talented musician. He played several instruments, and this is a true testament to his love of music. He had a passion for gospel music, which he sang with family. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Benny Lee Scott.
Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted companion of 26 years, Barbara Crowder; two daughters, Ashley Clark (Josh) and Bailey Scott; one step-daughter, Crystal; three grandchildren. Dexton, Gunter, and Cain; one brother, Ronald Scott (Cassy); beloved nieces and nephew, Summer Ray, Savannah Scott, Rebecca Vincent, and Jacob Scott (Nikki); and two aunts, Ellen Hudgins and Wanda Hunter.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Biddix Cemetery.
