Jason Daniel Harwood

Jason Daniel Harwood, age 46, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

Jason was born at the McDowell Hospital on January 23, 1978 to Robert Ellis Harwood, Sr. and Darethy Ann Shuford Harwood, who preceded him in death. 

He was known as a goodhearted person who always had a smile on his face. One of his best traits was always wanting to help others. In his free time, he loved to go fishing where he could enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Jason will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Jason is survived by his siblings, Tina Harwood, Robert Harwood, Jr. and Scotty Harwood; his paternal grandmother, Flo Beam McKinney; his special niece, Stephanie Surratt; his special great niece, Islah Ann Wiliams and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held for Jason on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Danny White officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
