Janis Myree Zibelin

     Janis Myree Harrell Zibelin, 78, of Nebo, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the Solace Center in Asheville.

     Janis was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 1, 1945, to the late Raymond Charles Harrell and Violet Myree Harrell Bland. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marion and was married to her husband of forty-two years, Warren Zibelin. Janis dedicated her life to nursing and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She earned a BSN from Medical University of South Carolina and an MBA from Francis Marion University. Janis enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and was very active with several committees in the Church, including the Medical Team which made several mission trips to Belize. She was very devoted to her family and will always be loved and remembered.

     In addition to her parents, Janis was preceded in death by her step father, Joe Bland.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Warren Zibelin; a daughter, Lorrie Myree Coffey (David); a sister, Cheryl Howard (Elwood); a brother, Mike Harrell; three grandchildren, Jordyn Hendricks (Jonathon), Aaron David Miller, and Hannah Myree Wright; and a great grandson, Xander Hendricks.

     A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Marion. Rev. Scott Hagaman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the Church. Interment will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilmington, on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 3:00 pm.
