Janice Marie Perkins

Janice Marie Hagar Perkins, 76, of Marion, passed away at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills on the evening of Saturday, July 11, 2026.

She was born in Pike County, Kentucky on November 26, 1949 to the late Willard Hagar and Lillie Jane Tacket Hagar.

Janice was formerly employed as a CNA. She truly enjoyed taking care of others. A member of Victory Temple Full Gospel Church, Janice loved going to church. Her family, especially her great-grandchildren, meant the world to her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Perkins, Sr.; her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Perkins, Jr. and Kim Perkins; and three brothers, Chester Hagar, Tommy Hagar, and Paul Hagar.

Those left to cherish her memory include her granddaughter, Savannah Downs (Caleb); two great-grandchildren, Riley Downs and Raelynn Downs; one brother, Dickey McCoy; and her sister-in-law, Maurine Perkins (Dennis).

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Victory Temple Full Gospel Church. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Pete McCombs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
