Janice Lee Bailey, born on February 28, 1969, in Shelby, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at Memorial Mission. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
Janice possessed a big heart and truly lived by the values of compassion and generosity. She was always eager to lend a hand to those in need, embodying a spirit of selflessness that inspired everyone around her. Her love for family was paramount, and she cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren: Tanner Blaze Hoyle, Sawyer Kye Hoyle, and Gabriel Hunt. Family gatherings were a source of joy for her, particularly where laughter and shared memories created lasting bonds.
In addition to her dedication to family, Janice had a passion for cooking, often delighting loved ones with her culinary creations. She also enjoyed soaking up the sun, finding peace and relaxation in tanning, which reflected her vibrant personality.
Janice is survived by her two sons, Christopher Bailey and Timothy Hoyle; her brothers, Robert Raines and Donald Gene Raines; her sister, Dora Childers; her mother-in-law, Margaret Bailey; and her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger William Bailey; her father, William Dwight Ward; and her mother, Betty Ruth Bells Raines.
A memorial service to honor Janice's life will be held on January 23, 2026, beginning at 3:00 PM. The service will take place at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory, located at 2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752.
Janice Lee Bailey's legacy of love and kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her memory will be cherished, and she will be dearly missed.
