James Lee Weaver

James Lee Weaver, 68, of Marion, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Cleveland County on October 9, 1955 to the late Willard Daniel Weaver and Rebecca Lucy Moss Weaver. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael VanHorn.

Mr. Weaver was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a lifelong truck driver, and he was truly passionate about being out on the road. He also had a love for hunting and fishing. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by a son, Christopher Weaver; three grandchildren, Kahlan Baltazar, Jaiden Weatherly, and Ivy Weaver; two great grandchildren, Mateo Santiago Sanchez Baltazar and Mikael Manuel Sanchez Baltazar; four siblings, Judy Weaver Neidinger, Rebecca Jane Weaver Wilson, Teresa Jean Weaver, and Joseph Daniel Weaver; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Yancey Street Baptist Church. Rev. Bruce Ward will officiate.
