James Van Ingram

James Van Ingram, 63, of Marion, passed away at Mission Memorial in Asheville on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

James was born in Avery County to the late Jace and Leona McClellan Ingram on October 11, 1960. 

James worked for over thirty years as a rock mason. He enjoyed being outside and working in his garden and raising hogs. He also loved to creek side fish. He was known as a happy good friend and also a loving father, brother and papaw. He will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his two children, T.J. Ingram and Ashley Ingram; his siblings, Janet Peterson, Lisa Ingram and Leo Ingram along with three grandchildren, Sadee Weems, Aliza Edwards and Lilly Maey.

A memorial service will be held at his home at a later date.
