James David Houston

James David Houston, age 69, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at his residence with his family at his side.  A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, born February 04, 1948, he was the son of the late Andrew and Naomi Goepfert Houston.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, James enjoyed fishing, cars and attending a rodeo.

He is survived by his step daughter, Brittiney Stokes; step grandson, Carson Pressley; and his significant other, Lyn Goodwin.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
