James Wesley Henry

James Wesley Henry, 46, of Morganton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

He was born in Burke County on November 15, 1979. James served honorably in the United States Army for four years. During his period of service, he worked at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. James had a passion for cars and motorcycles. He will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his father, Alen Tilson Henry, Sr.; his mother, Waverline Hardy; one brother, Alen T. Henry, Jr. (Suzanne); three nephews, Nicholas, Tisten, and Asziah Henry; two nieces, Isabel and Majandra; aunts, Theresa Henry (John) and Sherry Mitchell; uncles, Rodrigues Mitchell (Stacie) and Danny Mitchell; and a host of beloved cousins and other extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Celebration Center. A memorial service officiated by Rev. Tommy Carpenter will follow at 3:00 p.m.
