Jackie Franklin "Chuck" Surratt, Jr.

Jackie Franklin “Chuck” Surratt, Jr., 55, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, April 7, 2023.

Chuck was a native of Marion born on September 18, 1967 to Jewell Sheehan Surratt and the late Jackie Franklin Surratt, Sr. Chuck was a loving man who had a big heart. He enjoyed fishing, and he loved his dog, Max. More than anything, Chuck loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to his mother, Jewell, he is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Surratt; his new granddaughter, Islah Ann Williams; three siblings, Scott Surratt (Becky), Kim Wilkerson (Brandon), and Renee Hyatt; several nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, Barbara Vess.

In accordance with Chuck’s wishes, the family will hold a private service at a later date.
