Jack Edwin Piercy, Jr. "Bunny"

Jack Edwin Piercy, Jr. “Bunny,” age 72, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, May 05, 2022 at his home.

A native of McDowell County, he was born on April 21, 1950 to the late Jack Edwin Piercy, Sr. and Mary Golden Grant Piercy. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Pat Marsh Piercy.

Bunny was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired as an engineer with Norfolk Southern after 26 years and was a charter member of Grace Community Church. Bunny had a servant’s heart and served 50 years in the fire service with the Old Fort Fire Department where he enjoyed serving his community. Most of all, he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He is survived by his four sons, Brian Piercy, Todd Piercy (Clay), Travis Piercy (Angela), and Josh Piercy (Jessy); five grandchildren, Zach Piercy (Olivia), Austin Piercy, Marcus Piercy, Jaden Piercy, and Cassandra Thomason; and his sister, Libby Piercy.

A memorial service to celebrate Bunny’s life will be held on Monday, May 09, 2022 at Grace Community Church at 5:00 p.m. Reverend Jerry Lewis will officiate.
