Iris Gale Hilton Jones

Iris Gale Hilton Jones, 91, of Marion, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville.

She was born in Buncombe County on August 20, 1934. Gale loved the Lord and her family with all her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ray Jones, Sr.; son, Timothy Jones; mother, Mozelle Hilton Wood; and her brother, Jack Wood.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Paul Ray Jones, Jr. (Nancy) and Steve Jones (Shannon); three grandchildren, Amy Koch (Greg), Matthew Jones (Andrea), and Hilton Bud Jones; and three great-grandchildren, Ashton Jones, Eden Koch, and Keegan Koch. Gale is also survived by many beloved extended family members and friends who provided exceptional care for her during her final days.

In accordance with her wishes, a private graveside service was held at McDowell Memorial Park.
