Howard John Hudgins

Howard John Hudgins, 82, of Marion, went peacefully to be with the Lord at his home with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

Howard is preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Hudgins, James Hudgins and Carter Hudgins.

Surviving Howard are his wife of sixty-four years, Carolyn; a daughter, Denise White and Robert of the home and her sister in Christ, Kathey Beiermann; his granddaughters, Tiffany Lester
(Eddie Amon) and Nikki Chester and her husband Kenny also stepdaughter, Holly White of South Carolina; nine great grandchildren, Kacey, McKenzie, Trinity, Madison, Kaidence, Myles, Isaac, Monroe and Nash; three sisters, Irene Smith, Margaret Lunsford and Raye Minish along with his two precious dogs, Allie and Sophie, who he loved very much.

Howard was a great man with a heart of gold who loved everyone. His passion was fishing and he loved his koi pond. Howard was a junk collector who sold at the flea market. He could find just about anything you needed. If you needed it, he had it. He loved being outside whether it was hot or cold.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 17, 2023 with the Rev. Darron Hudgins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00. Burial will take place after the service at Elliott Family Cemetery on Huskins Branch Road.
