Holly Anne Dolcater Whitsett

     Holly Anne Dolcater Whitsett, 65, of Marion, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.

     Holly was born on October 18, 1959, in Marrero, Louisiana. A vibrant and artistic soul, she found beauty in every corner of the world and in the smallest of moments. Her boundless curiosity and love of learning shaped a life rich with exploration and wonder. Fascinated by different cultures and languages, Holly embraced the world with open arms, often traveling to far-off places that stirred her imagination. Yet, no matter how far she roamed, her heart always belonged to the Appalachian Mountains—a place she proudly called home.

     She will always be loved and remembered. Holly was preceded in death by her father; Charles Frederick Dolcater Jr. and a son, William Fredrick Whitsett. Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Jada Whitsett; her mother, Jada Dolcater; four sisters, Jennifer Lonbom (Alan), Melissa Sanderson (Steve), Vicki Rogers (Bill), Linda Dolcater; and a brother, Fred Dolcater.

     A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
