Gwendolyn Sherry Shehan

Gwendolyn Sherry Hill Shehan, age 48, of Ellenboro, North Carolina passed away on March 6, 2018 at Memorial Campus. A native of Rutherford County, Gwendolyn was born on June 9, 1969 to Judy Briscoe Roberts and the late Bruce Hill.

Along with her father she is preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Hill, Jr.

Gwendolyn loved watching Hallmark movies and loved her dog “Scruffy”. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

In addition to her mother she is survived by two daughters, Heather Shehan of Ellenboro and Cassidy Jones of Spindale; and one brother, Shane Roberts (Marla). Also surviving Gwendolyn are eight grandchildren, Taliyah Joiner, Tamiyah Shehan, Hezekiah Joiner, Ayvah Joiner, Araeyah Joiner, Rylan Scarlett, Lincoln Scarlett and Baby Scarlett.

A memorial service to celebrate Gwendolyn's life will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at West Point Baptist Church in Rutherfordton.  The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
