Guy “Ronnie” Mace, 75, of Glenwood, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Mitchell House in Spruce Pine.
A native of Marion, Ronnie was born on September 10, 1950 to the late Guy Mace and Lucille Adams Mace. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Troy Mace.
Ronnie proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. An avid outdoorsman, Ronnie enjoyed hunting with his son, Justin and fishing with his daughter, Whitney. Simple tasks such as taking care of his yard also brought him much joy. Ronnie was a selfless person, always putting others first and doing what he could to help. A devoted husband and cherished father and grandfather, Ronnie held a deep love for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Creech Mace; two children, Justin Mace (Nikki) and Whitney Presnell (Blake); four grandchildren, Austin Mace, Levi Mace, Carter Mace, and Hannah Mace; and two brothers, Bill Mace and Benny Mace.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. The funeral service will immediately follow at noon at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Brewer officiating. Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery with military honors.
