Gregory Adonis Giles Rutherford

Gregory Adonis Giles Rutherford, born on May 12, 1991, in Burke County, left this world on May 31, 2025, at the age of 34. He will be remembered not only for the joy he brought into the lives of those around him but also for his remarkable ability to forge connections and make friends wherever he went.

Gregory was known affectionately as "Mr. Fix It." His love for tinkering and a boundless enthusiasm for problem-solving showcased his hands-on approach to life. With a personality that was both outgoing and loving, Gregory was always there to lend a helping hand or offer support to family and friends.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Leslie Kay Rutherford, and his beloved daughter Traci Alison Rutherford, who is cherished alongside her mother Mackenzie Leigh Graham. Gregory is also lovingly remembered by his twin brother, Lamar Quinn Rutherford, his brother Andre Devon Morris, and his sister Kiyanna Rasheed. His nurturing grandmother, Lynell Rutherford, remains as a source of love and fond memories. He is further survived by his godmother, Chandra Tate, and godfather, Travis Tate, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins; and his only nephew, Andre Morris, Jr., who will all miss him dearly.

Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Tracy Giles, and stepfather, Todd Crisp. His maternal grandfather, James B. Rutherford, and paternal grandparents, Reese and Wanda Giles, also welcomed him home.

A visitation in his honor will take place on June 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Beam Celebration Center, located at 2170 Rutherford Road, Marion, NC 28752. A funeral service will follow that same day at 2:00 PM at the same location.

While Gregory’s departure leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him, his spirit will remain alive through the memories shared and the love he spread throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
