Gregory Walker Davis

     Gregory Walker Davis, 64, of Marion, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.

     Gregory was born in Cleveland County, NC, on June 27, 1959, to Hazel Walker Davis and the late Marmion Dean Davis. He enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren play sports. Gregory was known as an outgoing person who always said, “A stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet.”

     He is survived by his mother, Hazel Davis; two children, Charles Ray Davis (Sonja) and Gregory Lucus Davis (Amy); a brother, Jerry Davis (Rita); four grandchildren, Andrew Davis, Addyson Davis, Caleb Webb, and Nicolas Webb; and his best friend, Wizard. 

     A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at State Street Church of God in Marion. Rev. Wade Foster will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the Church.
