Glenn H. Warren

Mr. Glenn H. Warren, age 73, of Old Fort, North Carolina, while surrounded by loved ones, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his residence.  The son of the late James and Ida Jane Ollis Warren, he was born in Asheville, North Carolina on August 20, 1947.

Glenn, who was an amazing, loving and caring daddy, pawpaw and brother, was an avid Tar Heel fan and enjoyed watching car races.  A strong man of faith, he was a talented mechanic and electrician and had retired from Galey & Lord. Glenn was known to be a jokester, and could eat a good serving of banana pudding.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Warren Allison (Mike) and Glenda Warren, both of Old Fort; one son, Bobby Warren of Old Fort; one brother, George Warren of Old Fort; and two sisters, Jeanette Hill of Thomasville, North Carolina and Elizabeth Marshall of High Point, North Carolina.  Glenn is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; ex-wife, Phyllis Warren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion with Pastor Frank Cantrell and Pastor Neil Murray officiating.  Interment will follow at Bethlehem Community Cemetery in Old Fort.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.

I knew Glenn from Galey & Lord. He was a good guy and always had that smile in the picture you used when he was getting ready to tell you something funny or to try and pull the wool over your eyes, so you never knew. So sorry for your loss
