Glenda Faye Ambrose Dalton, 69, of Nebo, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025 at UNC Blue Ridge in Morganton.
She was born in Sylvester, Georgia on November 9, 1955 to the late Curtis Ambrose and Velver Wiley Ambrose.
Glenda retired from Ingles and was a beloved member of Grace Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she embodied the spirit of kindness and generosity. She was known for her selflessness and willingness to help anyone in need, always putting others before herself. Her nurturing approach and protective nature made her a pillar of strength for her family and friends alike. Glenda took great care of her family and all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life, offering support and love without hesitation.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings, Marvin Curtis Ambrose, Clifford Alton Ambrose, Altha Marrie Brooks, Randall Eugene Ambrose, Betty Ambrose, Letty Ambrose, and David Norman Ambrose; and one granddaughter, Heidi.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Dalton; four children, Justin Dalton, Jessica Hall (Luke), Serrina Stevens (Caleb), and Jeremy Dalton (Jenny); nine grandchildren, Annie Kate, Piper, Carter, Mason, Caitlin, Isaiah, Elijah, Dylan, and Lorelai; two siblings, Linda Ann Hobbs and James “Donnie” Ambrose (Ruth); and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, located at 930 Shady Lane in Marion. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Dr. Eric Grindstaff, Pastor Larry Ambrose, and Pastor Dwight Clodfelter officiating.
