Glen Riddle

Monday, July 4th, 2022, at 4:06 PM, Glen Riddle of Marion, NC, departed this earth to step through the gates of glory to enjoy the fruits of his labor, reap the rewards God has for him and see the face of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He suffered here with cancer of the spine that had already progressed to aggressive stage four. He finally went to the doctor on Tuesday last week and passed almost a week later.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 72 years, Jean Riddle of the home in Marion, NC, and one brother, Ben Riddle, of Morganton, NC. His four children are also fondly remembering the good days with him: David Riddle and his wife Shirley of Townsend, GA, Connie Riddle Smith of Marion, NC, James Riddle and his wife Tammy of Bloomingdale, GA, and Mark Riddle of Marion, NC. He had 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Howard Glen, Adam David, and Baby Kay.

His funeral arrangements are being handled by Beam Funeral Service of Marion, NC. He will be buried at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC on Thursday, July 07, 2022 at 12:00 noon.
