Gary Reid Hawkins

Gary Reid Hawkins, born on October 17, 1955, in McDowell County, passed away on July 30, 2025, at Swannanoa Valley Health and Rehab. He was a dedicated son, brother, and uncle. 

Gary was preceded in death by his father, William Howard Hawkins, his mother, Betty Wright Hawkins, and his brother, David Howard Hawkins. Surviving family members, including his brother, Benjamin Hawkins, along with a number of nieces and nephews.

A man of many interests, Gary took great pleasure in working on his beloved 1963 model TR4 Triumph car, an endeavor that reflected his mechanical skill. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11:00 am at Oak Grove Cemetery in Marion.
