Freida Louise Webb

Freida Louise Fender Webb, went to be with the Lord peacefully on August 20, 2026, at Mountain Ridge Health and Rehab at the age of 96. Born on August 1, 1930, Freida’s long and meaningful life stands as a testament to her deep love for family, her steadfast faith, and her enduring spirit of service. Freida was the daughter of the late Tonie and Mary Fender. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Webb; brothers Darrell Fender, Charles Fender, O'Dean Fender, and Donald Fender, and sisters Devon Boyd and Priscilla Withrow.

A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Freida dedicated herself to her family above all. She is survived by her sons Rev. Gary Webb (Judy), Rev. Harold Webb (Linda), Andy Webb, and Blake Webb (Marj). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.

Freida was renowned in her community not only for her warmth, but for her talents in the kitchen. Family and friends alike fondly recall her chicken and dumplings and country-style steak and gravy. Her caring and generous nature extended beyond her home; for over ten years, Freida found joy in delivering meals on wheels, ensuring neighbors and friends alike felt remembered and nourished.

Faith was a central part of Freida’s life. She was formally a dedicated member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, and had previously attended Hillcrest Free Will Baptist and Grace Baptist Church.

Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Freida’s life at Beam Celebration Center, 2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:30 PM with Revs. Harold Webb and Gary Webb officiating. Interment will take place at McDowell Memorial Park at a later time.

Freida Louise Webb’s life was one marked by compassion, faith, and dedication. Though she is deeply missed, her legacy of love will live on through those who knew her best.
