Frankie Lee Greer

     Frankie Lee “Pete” Greer, 55, of Forest City, NC, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025.

     Pete was born in Ashe County, NC, on April 5, 1969, to the late Roby Gene Greer and Wanda Grace Lawson Greer. He was married to his wife of 22 years, Cynthia Marlene Hebenstreit Greer. Pete enjoyed being outdoors. He loved fishing and was always involved with different projects. He was also an avid card player. Most of all, Pete was an excellent husband and father who provided for his family. He will always be loved and remembered.

     In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Roby Greer.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cindy Greer; six children, Brittany Kirby (Carl), Gracelyn Greer (Matthew), Roby Greer, Steven Twyman, Ginger Twyman, and Brittney Twyman; two sisters, Lisa Lewis and Cindy “Pearl” Martin (Neil); a brother, John Greer; a sister-in-law, Kim Greer; three grandchildren, Hunter Kirby, Halter Kirby, and Tatum Emerson; ten step grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dog and best friend of 11 years, Max.

     A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Michael Lawson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
