Frank David Young

Frank David Young, 73, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his residence.

A native of McDowell County, he was born on May 03, 1948 to the late Frank Young and Josephine Howell Pittman.

Frank retired from Case Farms as a maintenance supervisor. He will be remembered by his family as a hard worker and a good provider. A loving father and grandfather, he loved to ride his Harley-Davidson. He was also a very stubborn and hard-headed man who loved his gun collection.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Wayne Pittman.

He is survived by his three children, Scott Young (Beth), Brandy Young, and Jason Young (Megan); six grandchildren, Christopher Young (Kimberley), Joseph Young, Mark Schneider, Nicholas Schneider, Alex Young, and Rayne Young; three great grandchildren, Rileigh Young, Everett Schneider, and Nevaeh Schneider; a brother, John Pittman; and a special friend who was thought of as a daughter, Matilda Butler and her daughter, Elyana Romney.

In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned.
