Fannie Mae Lewis, 78, of Marion, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, at her residence.
Fannie was born in McDowell County, NC, on September 24, 1946, to the late Martha R. Rumfelt and Millard E. Lewis. She was of Freewill Baptist faith and was very down-to-earth and straight spoken. Throughout her life, Fannie was very fond of her many dogs. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Fannie was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Fannie was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lewis Davis; and two brothers, Harold Rumfelt and Millard Lewis.
She is survived by a brother, Donald Lewis (Mary) and many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Fannie’s wishes, no services will be held.
