I was her flower girl in her wedding. She bought me my first bicycle. She took care of me and loved me . She helped me buy my wedding dress. I watched her be a pastor's wife and all those behind the scenes "jobs" that people aren't aware of. She lovedher siblings as well as her own family. She was funny and sassy , sweet and kind . She sent me letters and encouragement from time to time. I still have the little sister book she sent me in Japan. She prayed for my children. I will always love her for that. I was glad to have been able to spend the last two days of her life on earth with her and my other sisters. I had the opportunity to pray over her and for her. I played hymns on my phone and sang to her. To Amber, Colton, Kay, and Jan..... Thank you. Thank you most of all Jesus. I know she is with you.

Richard, Penny and I are so sorry to hear about Shannon's passing... We have had you both in our prayers for many years and will continue to pray for healing for your entire family during this difficult time. You both came into our lives many years ago for a brief stay at Grace Church in Clinton, NC and made a tremendous impact on our family... we continue to love you like a brother and are very glad we were able to get to know you and Shannon. She will be sorely missed by many, but will be joyfully playing the piano and "directing" the church family in her new heavenly home from now on...
Again, we are sorry for your loss...

Love always,

John & Penny

I am sorry for your loss. We enjoyed the time we got to spend with Ms. Stanley. Everyone who came to your home had such wonderful things to say about her. I was not lucky enough to meet her in person but enjoyed talking to her on the phone. Thank you for the opportunity to care for her.
