Estelle Holland Rhinehart, 90, of Marion, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, at Willow Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Rutherfordton.
Estelle was born in McDowell County, NC on December 9, 1934, to the late Louis Franklin Holland and Hattie Vaughn Holland. She was married to her husband of 58 years, Lawrence Rhinehart, who passed away in 2013. Estelle was a member of Catawba Heights Baptist Church and had many friends. She loved holidays and was a wonderful cook. She was also an excellent seamstress who enjoyed camping, shopping, and dancing. Estelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She touched the hearts of many throughout the years, and will always be loved and remembered.
In addition to her husband and parents, Estelle was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Rhinehart Lassiter; three sisters, Mildred, Coralee, and Carrie; and six brothers, Dan, Ed, Albert “Red”, Lewis, David, and Luther.
Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Patsy Rhinehart Brewer; a sister, Naomi Hensley; a brother, Clarence Holland; four grandchildren, Brandy, Michael, Heather, and Joshua; ten great grandchildren, Steven, Jada, Harley, Carter, Kierstin, Clyde, Brittany, Jesse, Jr. “Dude,” Ashley, and Andrew; and two great-great grandchildren, Aiden and Oaklynn.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Pastor James Walker will officiate. A private family burial service will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Estelle’s honor to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
