Emily Brittain Williams

Emily Brittain Williams, age 47, of Morganton, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Monday, August 07, 2017.  A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born on February 15, 1970, she was the daughter of the late James and Joann Pearson Laughter.

Emily, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, truly loved her family and was a kid at heart.

She is survived by her husband Bryan Williams; five children, Travis Brittain, Paula Ellis (Jeremy), Jason Williams (Sharon), Hoyt Brittain (Teresa) and Brandon Brittain; five sisters, Janie Hollifield, Angie Minish, Amy Laughter, Stacey Blizzard and Tammy Hughes; one brother, James Laughter; and eleven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Grandview Baptist Church Cemetery in Morganton with Rev. John Whisenant officiating.
