Emanuel Lee Lytle, 84, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Autumn Care of Marion.
Emanuel was born in Rutherford County, NC on June 22, 1939, to the late Gladys Woods Lytle and Hoyt Graham Lytle, Sr. He was married to his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Lee Hunt Lytle, who passed away in December of 2011. He was an active member of Marion Moose #1705, with whom he held several titles and degrees, including Moose Legion. He was an avid fisherman and a collector of classic cars. He was especially proud of his 1940 Ford Coupe. Emanuel was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and was a friend to all who knew him. He will always be loved and remembered.
In addition to his wife and parents, Emanuel was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Lytle; and two brothers, Russell Lytle and Ray Lytle.
He is survived by a daughter, Annette Lytle; a son, Mark Lytle (Becky); a sister, Sylvia Price; two brothers, Hoyt Lytle, Jr. (Sandra) and Roger Lytle (Amy); five grandchildren, Victoria, Jasmine, Sydney (Ryan), Chloe, and Graham; eight great grandchildren, Rowan, Zacariha, Stella, Wyatt, Dalton, Serenity, Shai, and Everleigh; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Rev. Doug Worley will officiate. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
