Elmer Lee McIntosh

     Elmer “Lee” McIntosh, 71, of Marion, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at The Solace Center in Asheville.

     Lee was born in Yancey County, NC, on July 23, 1954, to the late John A. McIntosh, Sr. and Marie Byrd McIntosh. For many years, he worked in construction, from building bridges to paving. He enjoyed farming and planting and always enjoyed sharing his garden with others. You could always expect whenever he visited anyone, he would have a bag of veggies for you. Lee was a hard-working simple man with a giving heart.

     In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by a son, James McIntosh; a sister, Wilma Dulaney; and a granddaughter, Lauren Wyatt.

     Those left to cherish his memory include three children, Amanda Wyatt (Donnie), Marsha Burnette (Jonathan), and Eric McIntosh; a sister, Nadine Deyton (Friel); a brother, John McIntosh, Jr. (Brenda); and three grandchildren, Natalie & Olivia Burnette and Skylar McIntosh.

     A private graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Muddy Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jonathan Burnette will officiate.
