Elizabeth Ann Rhom Mace

Elizabeth Ann Rhom Mace, 81, Marion, passed away Tuesday, Feb 08, 2022 at Grace Heights in Morganton.

 

Elizabeth was born in McDowell County on October 09, 1940 to the late Garther Rhom and the late Lonney Arrowood Rhom. She was a member of Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church.  Elizabeth was known as a wonderful cook who also enjoyed sewing and crocheting.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Juell Mace; a sister Margaret Mace; a brother Jim Rhom; a son-in-law Jeff Glenn and a grandson Danny Cole.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are two children, a son David Mace (Brenda) and a   daughter Wanda Mace Glenn; two brothers, Ricky Rhom (Margaret) and Dennis Rhom (Sandy); five grandchildren, Chris, Stephanie, Cyndi, Allen and Jack along with six great grandchildren.

 

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev Donald Justice officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

 

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Grace Heights for the loving care given to their mother.

I knew lib through Juell, Juell and I worked together for many years. I was in their home several times always felt welcome. At Christmas a lot of times Juell would bring in goodies that lib had made for us, she was a sweet caring lady, you kids can be proud of

I am sorry to hear about Margaret's passing. She and I were in classes together at Glenwood High School. It was a pleasure to see her at the class reunions in the past. May God bring comfort and peace to her family during their time of grieving.
