Elizabeth Anna Cope Brown

Elizabeth Anna Cope Brown, 69, of Old Fort, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Elizabeth passed away at Mission Memorial of Asheville.

Elizabeth was born in Lincoln County, NC on December 3, 1954 to the late Lawson McKinley Cope and the late Fannie Carswell Cope. A grandson, Jacob Garrett Brown also preceded her in death.

Elizabeth was known as a very loving and caring wife and mother who always had a smile on her face and a song in her heart. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing and cooking. She worked at Ethan Allen for seventeen years where she retired due to her health. She later worked in home health care. Most of all, Elizabeth loved God and was a great Christian lady.  

Those left to cherish Elizabeth’s memory are her husband, Rev. Larry D Brown; her son, Jacob Brown (Jamie); four brothers, Randy Cope, Rev. John Cope (Gail), Rev. J.B. Cope (Dixie) and Andrew Cope (Tammy) along with four grandchildren, Gracie Shutt, Chloe Shutt, Eric Cooper and Zach Cooper. 

A Memorial Service will be held at The Beam Celebration Center on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Bobby Sheehan will officiate the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.
