Eleanor Lorraine Carver Love

Eleanor “Lorraine” Carver Love, 90 passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on February 12, 2022. She was born in Buncombe County to the lateJoseph M. Carver and Rachel Allen Carver.

Her friends and family, referred to her as “Ellie”, and “Annie”. Ellie is preceded in death by her brother, Ray A. Carver and survived by her sister, Evelyn “Louise” Carver O’Neal. She is also survived by a 37 nieces and nephews.

Ellie retired from The National Park Service in 1994. As a Black Mountain, NC native, previous to that she worked at Social Security Administration, Red Cross and Ridgecrest Conference Center in her youth as an administrative assistant.

Ellie was caring, loving and as sassy as they come. She dearly loved her animals and all other creatures great and small. She loved Jesus and it showed in the way that she graciously gave to others. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was particularly fond of knitting gifts for those she loved and for charity.

She will be missed by her loved ones until they all see her in heaven one day soon.
